Update from the Chair

Hi Everyone,

Last weekend Autumn Marathons really got going and the annual York Marathon and 10 mile was the destination for some of our members.

A quick recap on the weekend before and well done to Daisy Fletcher at the Chicago Marathon finishing in 3:25:34

Turning now to last weekend, Sam Davis was representing ERC as a member of the England Masters Team at Abingdon Marathon in the F45 category. Sam had a great run to finish in 3:07:29 and finish 4th in the Masters age category.

Meanwhile closer to home at the Yorkshire (York) Marathon Ben Barnett, Mark Leake, Dan Taylor and Sue Brown all ran very well, I think some of you were making a Marathon debut?

A massive well done also to Matt Jones who ran his first sub 3 hour time in 2:57:34 

The Ten Mile event saw 9 members take part, well done to Ollie Spence, Mark Clegg, Kathrin Fleming-Nichol, Richard Freeman, Tim Franklin, Mike Wallis, Steph Taylor, Kate Rainbow-Carter and Claire Laycock. Special mention to Tim who won the M70 age cat in 1:18:06

Let me know anything I've missed, next up on the competition front on Saturday 1st November is the Cross Country at Fox Rush, Stephan has shared the details. If you haven't entered the series you can still do so via our Member Mojo Club Shop, then just turn up to the next event.

We have a couple of away nights this week at Haxby on Tuesday and York Sports Club on Thursday. Look out for Andy's emails with the final information. Hope to see you there.
