Our training sessions

Thursday Club Nights - usually Galtres Centre, Easingwold -  with our regular coaches

Our main training night. During the winter months most runs are in Easingwold for around 45 minutes including short exercises for those that are looking to improve. Once the lighter evenings arrive we take the opportunity to venture into the countryside around Easingwold, both on and off road. We also run from other locations organised by club members as "away evenings" Runs vary between 4 - 7 miles usually in groups of similar ability.

We usually run in four groups of differing ability:

Red: The fastest group for the more advanced runners. You'd normally need to be able to run a 10K in under 46-47 minutes and be happy to run a bit further, usually up to 7-8 miles per session.

Orange: Upper intermediate runners: You'd normally need to run a 10K in under 52 minutes and be happy to run 5-6 miles per session.

Yellow: Lower intermediate runners: You'd probably run a 10K in the52-60 min mark and be able to run 4 to 5.5 miles per session.

Green: For steadier runners or for beginners who are able to run 5K. Groups normally run between 3.5 and 5 miles per session.

Monday Coaching Session - Alne Leisure Park -  with Colin/Marie at 7 pm (currently paused)
Monday night sessions run by our qualified club coaches take place every alternate Monday. The sessions are designed to work on running related strength, conditioning, technique and injury prevention. Activities include warm up, running drills, plyometrics, balance and coordination together with after run stretching.  Designed to be fun, suitable for all runners and although aerobic at times not too physically demanding. Perfect for improving your running whatever your ability. Currently held at Alne Leisure park, in the winter months the session is held under floodlights and we ask for a £1 contribution.

Tuesday Informal Runs - Galtres Centre -  at 6pm or 7pm

Informal runs take place on Tuesday. The 6pm Tapas is aimed at Red or Orange running groups who do a series of exercises aimed at improving speed and endurance. There are also 6pm and 7pm Yellow and Green groups usually doing more informal social runs around Easingwold at a relatively relaxed pace with some away evenings in the summer.
