We have reached the end of the club championship for 2025. Last Sunday saw the final event, the Summerhill NYSD XC race. Well done to the 8 runners who took part. Cath Howell-Walmsley was first back for the women and Brendan Anglim first back for the men. Results can be found on the NYSD XC league website.

I am pleased to announce the final club championship results. Megan Remmer wins this year's competition with maximum points. Nicola Convy takes second and Pippa Hutton third. (Sally-Anne Lardner and Pippa were tied on points after 8 races, in the event of a tie the ninth result is used.)

There were 16 women who completed 8 events (including 2 road and 2 off-road) qualifying for Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Neil King wins the men's competition with maximum points. Brendan Anglim takes second and Julian Olive third. There were 12 men who completed 8 events (including 2 road and 2 off-road) qualifying for Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Congratulations to Neil and Megan, our 2025 club champions and Brendan, Nicola, Julian and Pippa our runners up. Well done to the 28 members who managed to run at least 8 races. Special mention to Ed Duffield who ran all but one of the 18 races.

We're already planning the fixtures for the 2026 club championship. As requested I will provide some analysis of this year's races and send that out in due course.
