We run the Club Championship each year from January to December, open to all fully paid up members. There are 20 events with the best eight scores to count. At least two of the eight must be road races and at least two must be off road or multi terrain.

You don't have to enter a minimum number of events to be included in the championship, but you must compete in eight to be awarded a medal. The first third of those competing in eight events will get a gold award, the second third a silver and the final third a bronze.

Scores are calculated applying age grading factors to take out differences in age and sex therefore allowing direct comparison of the results produced by all participants in an event. Runners are then ranked according to their score and then Points are then allocated by position (e.g. 1st place = 50 points, 2nd place = 48 points, 3rd place = 46 points etc.)

All results will be adjusted for both age and gender and there will be prizes for the top males and females. Events have been chosen for their close proximity to Easingwold and are a mixture of road, off road, multi terrain and cross country.

You may also add two floating events, any parkrun and any measured, certified marathon. You will be able to take part in as many as you like from 1st January and submit your best time to the Competition Secretary through the Floating Events Form by 30th September for parkrun and 30th November for the Marathon. Please note you can only have one floating event in your 8 events required to complete the Championship.

Please enter external events under 'Easingwold Running Club' or we will not be able to identify you for scoring. Please also wear club vests at each race. Since 2019, there have been separate male and female Championship tables.

We recommend you enter races as early as possible as many of them will sell out quickly.

For NYSD cross country (XC) events, York & District Road Race League (YDRRL) events and/or ERC specific events, check your email for the sign up process.

For the up to date Club Championship table and other race results, please see our Results page.

Having never won anything sporty in my life, I’m absolutely delighted to win Easingwold Running Club’s Female Club Championship this year!  The joy of the club championship is that all the race results are age adjusted, so there are some bonuses of growing older!  I’m by no means a fast runner but as I’m quite a lot older than many of the female club runners, my results are quite good when they’ve been adjusted!
