Join us Wednesday 28th October for our #LetsLiftTheCurfew event

Open to all

Easingwold Running Club is proud to participate in England Athletics #Run&Talk programme.

The aims of the programme are to:

  • Get people talking about mental health, sharing their experiences and removing stigma.

  • Provide support and guidance to raise awareness of mental health problems.

  • Support people experiencing mental health problems to be physically active through running, whether that is to support them in starting, returning to or continuing to run.

When the clocks go back on Sunday 25 October 2026, darker evenings will once again affect how many women choose to get active. Something as simple as heading out for a run, walk or jog can involve extra planning, changing routes, running at different times, or deciding not to go at all because of safety concerns.

As runners, we know the benefits of being active outdoors. Everyone should feel able to enjoy those benefits all year round, without feeling that shorter days and darker evenings limit their opportunities to get out and move.
